STRIVE JUNIOR SWIM

Strive Junior Swimming is an alternative environment for children and young people aged 6 to 16 to develop skills in the water. We deliver non-competitive 'aqua lessons', emphasising growing confidence, competence, fitness, and safety in the water.
OUR APPROACH
Our junior swim program is like no other. We have developed a unique approach to equip your young swimmers with all of the aquatic skills and fitness needed for them to safely and fully embrace our Island’s aquatic playground and to keep them loving swimming for longer.
OUR PROGRAMME
Our swimming syllabus aligns with the Swim England ‘Learn to Swim’ Framework, and we have developed additional ‘extras’ designed with our Island in mind, including open water, triathlon, water polo and surf skills! We believe this elevates our programme above others.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
LEARNERS
All children must be aged 6 and above and able to swim on their front and back for a minimum of 25m, without aids. They must also be comfortable spending time at the deep end.
EXPERIENCED
Children joining more experienced sessions (typically aged 10+) will already be swimming front crawl competently for at least 8 lengths, and have a strong grasp of all other strokes.
ADVANCED JUNIORS
If your child is aged 14-16 and comes from a swimming club environment but is ready for a different approach, get in touch to discuss session options.

JOINING
We offer limited spaces to ensure the highest quality experiences, and operate a waiting list.
As of July 2025, we anticipate a 6-month wait for spaces for ages 6-11, and up to 3-months for ages 12+.

HOLIDAY CAMPS

Salty Bums Holiday Camps take place in July and August at L'Ancresse Bay. Across 4-mornings, children aged 6-11 train to become 'the fittest lifesavers'. Beach games, swimming and basic lifesaving skills culminate in a fun swim-run event on the final morning.
All children taking part must be able to swim 2 lengths of a 25m pool unaided, and be confident treading water out of their depth for up to 1 minute.
