Who We Are

We believe that Multi-Sport fitness is the key to living a happy, healthy lifestyle.  Giving your body and mind the opportunity to continually learn, grow and engage with different environments, different movements and different challenges helps us develop closer relationships with ourselves and our community.

Strive coaches support and motivate our community to step outside their comfort zones and discover the best versions of themselves.  Inclusiveness is at the heart of everything that we do, and as skilled coaches we understand how to lead you on your journey to achieving your goal.

Laura Fry, Owner & Head Coach

AS AN ATHLETE:

Laura came to triathlon through the journey of living with, and learning to manage depression and anxiety.  15 years later, it's rare to find her 'competing' in races or events but you will find her continuing to enjoy swim, bike, run, in her own way.  Thanks to finding activities that help her to engage mindfully, connect with like-minded people, and discover an inner confidence and self-belief, Laura is passionate about spreading the transformative power of swim, bike and run. Along with triathlon, Laura enjoys striving for a stronger body and believes that true fitness is as much about how 'well' you can move as it is how fast you can move.

AS A COACH:

Laura leads the junior section of Strive and is passionate about creating positive experiences in sport for young people. Laura also runs Learn Front Crawl courses for novice adults and Strive's successful Strength and Conditioning sessions.  Laura is also a Personal Trainer and delivers 1:1 sessions for anyone wanting a friendly, non judgemental, and encouraging trainer to work with.

AS A COMMUNITY LEADER:

Through her work with Try A Tri Guernsey, a not for profit events and training organisation, Laura has helped develop community engagement projects that offer children, young people and adults, more opportunities to join friendly, inclusive and non judgemental groups, events and sessions.  As well as growing a sustainable triathlon and multi-sport community, her vision is to create a positive impact on activity levels and mental health on the Island in young people and adults.
