Guernsey Tribe Junior Triathlon Club was established in 2019 following the success of Try A Tri Guernsey's junior events and training activities. Tribe Juniors is able to run thanks to our volunteers, the collaboration with Guernsey Triathlon Club, and sponsorship from Walkers (Guernsey) LLP. Our aim is to offer children and young people on the Island of Guernsey a place to train, learn and enjoy swim, bike, run.
WHAT WE DO:
Juniors of every ability come together on Fridays at 4.30pm - 6pm at St Sampsons High to swim, bike, run. Thanks to our volunteers, we combine different abilities into smaller groups to make all activities meaningful and engaging.
Any child of young person can join us from the age of 6, up to 15. All members must be comfortable swimming at least 50m in a pool and confident riding their bike without help.
We deliver club sessions between March and November, typically in line with school terms, apart from the summer holidays when we continue training.
Thanks to sponsorship from Ana Leaf Foundation and Walkers Guernsey LLP, we are able to keep membership fees to a minimum. We charge for every term (typically between 9 and 12 weeks) but every child is welcome to come along and give us a try before they commit.
We organise inclusive, friendly events for every ability child to come along and enjoy - not just Tribe members. Events are open to all children aged 5 and up, provided they meet the criteria stated.
