Strive Junior Swim offers an alternative environment for children and young people to develop their love for being in the water.  We deliver non-competitive swim coaching, with an emphasis on growing confidence, competence, fitness and safety in the water. 

Our approach

We have designed an approach to coaching younger ages (from 6 up to 16) across our 4 pillars of water literacy: confidence, competence, fitness and safety. Using this awards-based coaching system, all levels of swimmer are given the opportunity to progress in fun, supportive and non competitive environments in the pool and open water.

Our coaches

Our Junior coaching team are a mix of British Triathlon certified coaches, STA teachers and swim enthusiasts who all share our passion for keeping young people engaged in swimming.

Entry requirements


Strive bathers & jammers now available

All children must already be able to swim 2 lengths of a 25m pool with no aids, and be comfortable spending time out of their depth.

Children joining more experienced sessions (typically aged 10+) should already be swimming front crawl competently for at least 4 lengths, and have a strong grasp of all other strokes too.

If you would like to arrange a trial for your child, please get in touch and we will let you know where we might be able to fit them into our existing sessions. If no spaces exist, we will place you on our waiting list.

1-2-1 coaching

If you child needs some extra support we offer 30 min 1-2-1 sessions during school holidays. Please get in touch to arrange.
